What is Parlus.com?
Parlus.com is an online community that will help you with contacting and also staying in touch with your old schoolmates.
Who can use Parlus.com?
You just have to be over 15 years of age
to use Parlus.com.
Parlus.com is totally free! You will be able to get back in touch with your friends and you'll be able to find new ones as well!
How do I Join in?
All that you need is an email address. You create a password while you complete the registration.
You will receive an email to verify your email address. To complete the registration click on the link and login.
I can't find my verification email.
Check in your spam email folder. Our validation email might have ended up there!
Don't forget to complete your profile so you will be able to find your old schoolmates!
Can I change my email address, username and password?
You can change your email address and password from "edit my profile" in "my profile" page.
Unfortunately once you have picked a username you can't change it!
I lost my password, how can I get a new one?
Go to our homepage, click on "login".
Then in the "login" window, click on "Forgot password".
Now enter your email address (the one you used for registering).
Then click on "recover" and you will receive an email in your email inbox with your login details.
Make sure you use the email address you used to register.
How can I invite friends?
Once you are logged in and you are in your "dashboard", on left hand side there is a panel where "invite friends" is. Click on it and invite your friends individually or you can browse through your email contacts. Your contacts will receive an invitation email.
How can I join my School Network?
In "Profile", click on "edit my profile".
Now you can add your education details and by adding these details you will automatically be a member of your School Network.
Every time someone joins your school network you will be notified by email.
I can't find my School Network
If your School Network is missing, we will create it for you.
Once you are logged in, click on "Networks" then on the link "Create a network".
Fill in the form and we will activate the network you have created.
You will be notified of the creation of your network by an update alert in your Inbox on Parlus.com
Don't forget to double check - maybe your network is already listed but you cant' find it.
What kind of network can I create?
You can create 3 types of networks: a new School network, Company network or Club network.
Simply go to your network page and click on the link - "Create network". Fill in the form, click on "create network" - we will create your network and you will receive an alert on your dashboard when it is ready to use.
Can I email all the members in my network?
No, but you can create events or post comments on the network page for all network members to see.
How can I post a comment on my blog?
Go to the Blog tab.
On the left side you see "add a blog post", click on it.
Now you just have to type in title and text and post your first blog entry.
Can I blog on my Friend's blog?
You can leave comments on your friends' blog and they can leave comments on your blog.
Can I blog on my network blog?
You can leave a message on your network board.
How can I add photos?
Go to "Photos" tab - on the left side you have a panel from where you can manage your photos.
Simply click on "add photos". Select the album you want to add the photo to or select "new album" to name your new album - a new field on the right side will appear.
Then name your picture and upload it.
The maximum size your photo can be is 2MB.
How can I create a new "photo album"?
In "Photos" tab you find "Create a new Album" - name your new album and then you can start uploading photos.
Albums are displayed in alphabetical order.
How do I delete an album/photo?
Go to "Photos" tab.
Every single photo has a small icon on the right corner.
Just click on it and you'll be asked if you want to delete the photos/album.
When you delete the album you will delete all the pictures inside that album.
How can I view my photos
From "Photos" tab click on the album you want to view and all the photos within that album will be displayed. Just click on one of the pics and you will have a "slide show" of your pictures.
How can I add videos?
From Tab "Add video" click on "add video", name the video and then you just need to add the embed the script that you find on youtube or other video websites.
Can I create a "video album"?
Go to "Video" tab, then click on "add album" and give your new album a name.
When you go to add videos you'll be able to pick the album you want to add the videos to.
I can't remember my password
From Parlus.com home page, click on "Login" - on the page right hand side.
On "Login" window, click on "Forgot password".
Now enter your email address - the email address you used for your registration.
Then click on "recover" and you will receive an email in your email box with your password and user name.
My email address is not active anymore
You can login even though your email address is not active anymore .
Just follow the normal procedure to login - type in your old email address and password.
Once that you are logged in you will be able to edit your profile and change email address.
I forgot the email address I registered for SchoolFriends.ie
You will need to prove your identity and you will be asked to confirm your personal details and school network. Contact us.
